University is an amazing experience where you can try new things, meet amazing people and have some of the greatest fun of your life. There are times, however, when it can get you down. Don’t worry, for these occasions, there are plenty of people around to help: your social welfare officers, the nurse, the pastoral dean and the tutor system.

As social welfare officers, we’re here to offer you support of any kind, should you need it. For any worries, sexual health or emotional issues, no matter how great or small, we’re always happy to listen. We can also provide advice on what kind of financial support is out there, who else there is to talk to, and can be the link between you and senior members of staff.

Come and have a chat if you see us around college or come to one of the regular welfare cake sessions. If you can’t make a time, please feel free to drop one of us an email and we can arrange something.

We also have a welfare phone if you would like to get in contact with us immediately. This phone has no numbers stored so everything is run on an entirely confidential basis. You can phone or text at any time, day or night and we will always get back to you as soon as possible. The number is 07582008301.

We understand if you’d prefer not to talk face-to-face. If you’re worrying about something, or need some help but would like to remain nameless, you can send us a message using the anonymous messaging system below.
